Accolades Thousands of people visit Alligator Bayou each year, and many of them are kind enough to send thank-you letters. Here are a few of our favorites.

The U.S.S. Mispillion Shipmates Association recently visited your facility. This letter is to inform you of the excellent service provided by your entire staff. Words are inadequate to express how pleased we were with everyone.

Quite a few of the attendees were elderly. Every staff member exhibited patience, understanding, and above all, courtesy to everyone. We kept hearing the association members say, "I see what they mean by Southern Hospitality" when discussing the service, food, etc.

Since we were hosts and live here, we felt responsible for the outcome of the reunion. We have nothing but praise and admiration for EVERY staff member.

David and Ethel Sibley
U.S.S. Mispillion Shipmates Association

"Thanks for the great job you did on our party party for 350 incentive guests. Everyone loved the delicious food, and we appreciated how you took care of everything, even last minute setup changes. Jim and Frank, you were wonderful to work with, along with the entire staff.

Harold Trosclair
U.S.S. Perkins, 8th Reunion

"We were pleased all around. People from all over the United States came to our reunion, and many of them had never done anything like this before. They thoroughly enjoyed Alligator Bayou. Jim and Frank did an absolutely wonderful job with everything."

The ongoing boat tours, nature walks, the doll maker, the animal handler with the birds and Jim's hair-raising 'gator show--there was plenty for everyone to do. The Cajun band and dancers on the pavilion were great fun, and the open area for the evening concert was superb.

You're the only venue of this size and with these capabillities between New Orleans and Baton Rouge. For swamp parties, you're the best! We'll be back."

Melissa Solberg, Sales
U.S.A. Hosts Destination

"It was a really good hands-on learning experience for the children. We experienced so many different things--plants and animals, the music, the history of zydeco. All of the children had a great time. They said it was awesome. It's the biggest outdoor classroom I've ever been to."

Laurell Cliburn, Teacher & Trip Coordinator
Forest Heights Elementary School

"Jim and Frank are absolutely the most interactive and entertaining tour guides I have encountered in my eight years at Embassy Suites Hotel. I have visited many swamp tours and Louisiana attractions, but by far, Jim and Frank capture the hearts of all who visit by demonstrating the true meaning of Louisiana hospitality and showcasing it in their beautiful backyard at Alligator Bayou!
Our tour was very authentic with up-close and heart-throbbing alligator experiences complete with amazing scenery, zydeco dancing, and even a surprise visit from a slippery snake. There were many Kodak moments!
This particular group of meeting planners also attended a New Orleans Mardi Gras parade, but when all was said and done, the Alligator Bayou tour was the hit of the day! This is a "must see" attraction for all Louisiana visitors.
I will strongly recommend this tour to my clients, friends and family. Hats off to Jim and Frank on a job well done and for having fun while doing it!"

Lenore Elvir, Director of Sales
Embassy Suites, Baton Rouge

"Alligator Bayou is the epitome of the Sportsman's Paradise. The board of the Distinguished Restaurants of North America and I got a true taste of bayou country on our tour last May. Thanks for a great time!"

Chef John Folse, CEC, AAC

"Alligator Bayou was a perfect spot for our annual fundraiser. This beautiful South Louisiana setting provided a relaxed and casual atmosphere where everyone from the Governor down to the resident dogs had a good time!"

Jay Dardenne, Louisiana State Senator

"Every day someone either calls or comes up to me to say what a fantastic time they had this past Saturday at Alligator Bayou. They keep saying what a fine job I did and how it was all so special; I must have worked so hard to plan it all.
Truth is, you guys did all the work--all I did was call you. I keep trying to think of just the right words from the English language to relate how we feel about our experience last Saturday.I'll use some of the ones I have heard from my fellow workers andtheir families this week: comfortable, fun, relaxing, entertainingand educational, pleasantly surprising, beautiful location, and the best picnic we've ever had.
Alligator Bayou exceeded our expectations on all fronts, including the food. Please pass along our thanks and best wishes to your entire staff, and look out 2001...we'll be back!"

Debbie Dyess, Southern Ionics Incorporated
Baton Rouge Facility

"We had a FABULOUS time at Alligator Bayou. The food was delicious--we learned about our heritage and history--our environmental consciousness was raised--and...we had a ball! Thank you. We'll be back."

Denise Allen, BellSouth

"On behalf of the members of the U.S.-Canada Interparliamentary Group 2000, I would like to thank you for your kind hospitality during our tour of Alligator Bayou on May 22, 2000. Our tour of the bayou was a highlight of our trip and a truly memorable experience. Your helpful explanations and insights about the wildlife and vegetation around the bayou gave us a better understanding and respect for Louisiana'shabitat."

Frank H. Murkowski
United States Senator

"On behalf of the East Baton Rouge Parish Medical Society, I want to express our deepest appreciation for your great efforts in coordinating the Summer Fun Event held July 9, 2000. We would also like to thank the Chef for his "hard work" in the preparation and presentation of the Couchon de Lait and all of the other delicious foods that accompaniedthe roasted pig. We have had so many comments from the physiciansexpressing how much fun they (and their families) had.
Please convey to Jim and Frank our gratitude for their participation in making this summer fun event a most successful one! Everyone enjoyed the swamp tours and their unique personalities which stimulated much interest!"
